How do I buy a tanning course?

You can purchase your tanning minutes or courses easily through the online booking diary when you book your appointment, or directly in the salon when you visit.

How long should my first sunbed session be?

Accepted Answer

It depends on your skin type. Most people start with 6–9 minutes, then gradually increase to a maximum of 15 minutes per session - though most people find they only need 9-12 minutes for a great tan as our beds are retubed regularly. Book the appointment called  ‘New Client Session’ for your first visit and we’ll help you decide what’s best for your skin when you get here.

What type of sunbeds do you have? Which is best?

We offer both stand-up and lay-down sunbeds, all fitted with UV and red light tubes for the best possible tanning results.It’s really down to personal preference:Lay-down sunbeds are relaxing and let you switch off face tanners if desired.Stand-up sunbeds feel cooler and allow you to move, helping prevent pressure marks and reach areas that don’t tan as easily.Alternating between both gives you the most even tan!

Why do your sunbeds include red light tubes?

We added collagen red light tubes after extensive research - and the feedback has been incredible.

What skincare products should I use?

Always apply a professional indoor tanning lotion just before your sunbed - it helps you tan faster and keeps your skin hydrated.Use a tan extender between sessions to deepen your colour and make your tan last longer.
We sell a full range of genuine, salon-quality tanning products sourced directly from trusted UK distributors - so you know you’re getting the real thing!*Please note: Cheap and imitation products, often bought online, can cause damage not only to your skin but also to our equipment so for this reason they are banned from the salon. Tingle lotions can only be used in our stand up beds, not in the laydown beds.

Do I need to book, or can I walk in?

We’re a busy salon, so all appointments are pre-booked online for your convenience.
 This means no waiting around, and it helps us adjust opening hours during busy and quiet times. Details of registering and booking can be found here.

Are children allowed in the salon?

Sorry, no. Oasis is a relaxing, adult-only space — your time to unwind.

What if I can’t make my appointment?

Accepted Answer

No problem! Please cancel your appointment online with  at least one hour’s notice so we can offer the slot to someone else.
Missed or late-cancelled appointments will have minutes deducted from your course.

How often can I use a sunbed?

You must leave a minimum of 24 hours between tanning sessions.

How long will it take to get a tan?

Accepted Answer

Results vary depending on your skin type and whether you use the right lotion and extender.
 Most people start with 6–9 minutes, two to three times per week, and see results quickly.
 Once you’ve reached your desired colour, you can maintain it with fewer sessions.
 (One session a week isn’t enough to build a tan — consistency is key!)

Can I tan if I’m on medication or have a medical condition?

Please check with your GP before tanning.
 Some medications or skincare treatments can increase photosensitivity.
 Our T&C's that you agree to on registration includes a health section to ensure safe tanning for all clients - for example, sunbeds aren’t suitable for people with epilepsy or pregnant. A reminder of our T&C's can be found here.

Can I use sunbeds if I’m pregnant?

No - due to possible fainting and increased skin sensitivity, we don’t allow pregnant clients to use sunbeds.
 If you let us know, we’ll extend your course expiry so you can relax and enjoy your minutes once your baby arrives.

How long are your tanning courses valid for?

Our standard tanning courses are valid for one year.
We also offer weekly and monthly courses at a reduced cost, and regularly offer special deals that last six months.

What are your opening times?

We're open from 10am 7 days a week during the busy seasons. As all tanning appointments are pre-booked, our opening times can be flexible during busy or quiet  periods. Therefore, please look online where you'll see the available appointments for the month ahead and choose a time/s that are most convenient for you. And remember, the availability changes frequently throughout the day so check back if you couldn't find a perfect time on your favourite bed!
